How the Museum Passes Work...


     A Museum Pass allows an adult cardholder and family in good standing to go to a local Museum, nature or art center at no charge.  Passes may be borrowed for a period of four days.  A credit card is required to secure your pass. (We can take this information over the phone when you call to put your pass on hold)

Museum of the American Revolution (Philadelphia, PA) Pass is for 2 Adults, 4 children.  OPENING DAY AUGUST 20, 2020

For Members and Library Pass Holders:

Thursday, Aug. 20 – Sunday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 27 – Sunday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.


For General Public:

Thursday, Sept. 3 – Monday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

And then Thursday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and holiday Mondays


Your health and safety is our highest priority, we have implemented the following new protocols:


  • Staff and visitors over the age of 5 will be required to wear a mask/face covering.
  • Social distancing, of at least 6 feet, between guests, individual family groups, and staff will be implemented.
  • Capacity in the museum theater and gallery films will be limited.
  • All public spaces and surfaces will be rigorously cleaned and disinfected throughout the day, and hand-sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the building.

The Battleship New Jersey (Camden, NJ)  Pass is for 2 Adults and 3 Children

The Battleship New Jersey has re-opened for limited self-guided tours.  The Battleship was granted approval by the State of New Jersey to open her decks for exterior tours.  Hours will be 10:00am-4:00pm.  



The Academy of Natural Sciences  (Philadelphia, PA) Each pass is good for 2 Adults and up to 5 Children in the same family


Our new museum hours will be Friday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. starting on Friday, July 31. As a reminder, the museum is requiring timed ticketing in order to maintain a 25% capacity. Patrons are highly encouraged to reserve their timed tickets online before visiting the Academy. They will do this by visiting and using a Reservation Code printed on your museum pass to apply the museum pass benefit and receive their tickets free of charge.


The Mutter Museum: The College of Physicians of Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA) Admits 4 individuals

I’m excited to announce that we will begin to accept the Museum pass that your library holds on August 1, 2020! ALL visitors MUST reserve their tickets online for a specific time. For the time being we are using Eventbrite as a means to do this, but will be moving to a different system in the near future and I will keep you posted of any changes.


Timed ticketing can be found here: Online Timed Tickets.  Patrons with a library pass can reserve up to four tickets, with reservations available from August 1 - 31 for now, under the ticket type “Library Partner Pass”. Upon check-in, Library patrons will need to present the Museum pass , or they will be subject to be charged. They will also be charged onsite for any additional guests not covered by the pass.


Eastern State Penitentiary: 207 Fairmont Ave.  Philadelphia, PA     Admits 6  

 Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site  will be reopening on August 14th Fridays – Sundays from 10am to 5pm.  We will be selling timed tickets  but Library Pass holders do not need to have a timed ticket, they can simply come in with their card and join our queue line to be let in.  
Below are our Health and Safety Guidelines:
  •     Everyone ages 2+ is required to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose as required by the City of Philadelphia.
  •     Physical distancing will be required in any queues and throughout the site. Please keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between your party and others.  Markers will be placed to help ensure spacing between visitors.
  •     Hand sanitizer will be available, and visitors will be asked to sanitize their hands before entering the site.
  •     When possible, doors will be propped open to increase ventilation and eliminate high touch points.
  •     Cleaning, particularly of high-touch areas, will be increased.
  •     Plexiglass shields will be installed in admissions and at any other points of sale or contact.
  •     To reduce contact, a credit or debit card will be required for any on site purchase.    Cash cannot be accepted at this time.     
  • If you are sick or have had contact with some someone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days, please stay home. 

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge (Medford, NJ) Admits 2 Adults, 3 Children 

The Nature Center will be open to the public at reduced hours – Mon thru Fri 10am-4pm and Sat-Sun 10am-3pm. We appreciate your understanding as we adapt staff schedules to ensure rigorous cleaning and maintain the health and safety of our guests, summer campers, staff, and volunteers. The outdoor hiking trails and Wildlife Housing Area will remain open until dusk and fee boxes may be used after hours.


Currently, we are limiting occupancy to 15 persons at a time; if there is a line, please visit briefly. Staff have the right to reduce this number if needed. During Phase 1 of our opening only visitor admissions and the gift shop will be available. We regret that the reptile room, playroom and restrooms will remain closed at this time. Outside restrooms will continue to be provided, as well as, foot-pump hand washing stations.

The Nature Center will be using one-way movement – entering through the front door and exiting out the back. Exceptions will be made for individuals with disabilities, requiring the use of our handicapped entrance.



Garden State Discovery Museum (Cherry Hill, NJ) Each pass is good for 6 people.  No Library Pass Holder update yet.


National Constitution Center  (Philadelphia, PA) Passes are good for 2 Adults, 4 children/granchildren.  No Library Pass Holder update yet.


Philadelphia's Magical Garden (Philadelphia, PA)  Admits 2 Adults and 3 Children.  No Library Pass Holder Update yet.
